The Annual D-NOW Weekend
What is Disciple Now? D-NOW is a weekend designed to give 6th-12th grade students an opportunity to grow in their understanding and knowledge of Scripture while growing closer to one another. Students will join together at Bethany for worship and Bible Study, and then spend the night at Host Homes, eating, having fun, and discussing with an adult leader what they are learning. It's a weekend get-a-way without leaving town! D-NOW provides great opportunities for worship, recreation, hanging out with friends,
lots of food, and fun.
Annual Summer Events: Christian Summer Camp and World Changers.

World ChangersWorld Changers is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ through service. It is a Christ Centered Service Organization. You can stretch yourself physically and spiritually. During the week, students spend their days roofing, painting, plumbing and doing yard work. In the evenings, the youth participate in worship, Bible study, and team-building activities. World Changers participants learn what being "On Mission" means throughout the week: Becoming personally involved in meeting the needs of others while sharing the love of Christ.
After arriving at the project, participants will be divided into work groups called "crews" with names such as "Drips and Runs", "Cool Caulkers" and "Goofus Roofers". Each crew, composed of about 12-14 students and leaders from various churches were assigned to work on the home of a community resident. Meeting youth from other churches and learning how to serve as a team were highlights of the week. Participants will also enjoy meeting the grateful residents whose homes they are repairing. |
